Abstract EN

The current study aims to identify the difficulties that face the economic center work, Benghazi, which is one of the most deep-rooted research centers in Libya that established in 1986.

The study also attempt to determine the research contributions that this center rendered in accounting sphere, given that this domain is one of the economic fields.

For collecting data related to these difficulties, a questionnaire was used as a main tool along with personal interviews.

The population of study consisted of managerial staff, consulting committee members, and cooperators in the economic research center.

As for the second part of the study, the center research contributions to accounting, the researcher relied on examining the center published texts including issues of the center journal as well as conferences held by the center since it was established.

The study found out cultural, legal, financial, managerial, and scientific difficulties that hinder the economic center job.

It also concluded that many research contributions in accounting sphere were inadequate comparing to what has been presented in various economics branches, the author recommends all concerned bodies of overcoming all difficulties the center encounters.
