Abstract EN

This study aims to measure and test the relationship between foreign trade and economic growth in the Libyan economy using time series data of exports, imports and GDP for the period (1970-2014).

The researchers included a placebo variable to represent the measurement of political and security crises that During the study period, the researchers used the standard analysis of the study data by applying the ARDL to the time series in question after testing its stability and its stability in the first difference.

The study came to the set of results of the most important and a common integration in the short run and long run between the variables of the study and significant impact and positive exports on economic growth in Libya and a significant negative for imports and dummy variable on the economic growth relationship.
