The current research deals with a very important topic, "Industrial development and its obstacles in Khamis Mushait City", because the industrial sector is one of the most important economic sectors that make a significant contribution of the GDP of many countries.

The importance of the study comes from the necessity of achieving the economic development strategy, in which the industrial sector has an important role, which makes the development and evolution of this sector a necessity and a strategic objective.

The research questions were formulated in a way that serves the objectives of the research: study the geographical distribution of industrial areas in Khamis Mushait city.

In addition to identifying the obstacles to the development of industrial area in Khamis Mushait city and its causes, the researcher used the descriptive approach, the objective approach and the historical approach in studying the development of industry in the region.

The researcher has found significant collections of results, which emphasized the need to emphasize the transfer of all trades, and industries that cause direct and indirect damage outside the boundaries of residential communities and within the boundaries of the industrial area.
