Rural development is the kind of development that deals with the problems of rural areas with a primary focus on the needs of the population and all aspects of rural life.

Agricultural development is part of rural development and is one of the aspects that contribute to its achievement.

Asir region is considered one of the important agricultural areas in the southwest of Saudi Arabia because of its climatic features that help to establish agriculture, as well as some people living in rural areas.

The research problem is what is the reality of rural agricultural development in the Asir region? What opportunities can be found in the Asir region within the Sustainable Rural Agricultural Development Program (1018-2025) launched by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture? The research aims to study and analyze the situation of rural agricultural development in the Asir region, and then to explore the opportunities available to benefit from the sustainable rural development program of the Ministry of Agriculture, and identify the most important programs that are suitable for the application of the Asir region and which is of great benefit to rural agricultural development in Asir region.

To achieve the objectives of the research, a descriptive analytical approach was used to describe and analyze the reality of rural agricultural development in the Asir region.

The research found opportunities in various areas of the rural agricultural development program, which rural people in the Asir region could benefit from and through which sustainable development could be achieved
