The study aims at investigating the effect of using PowerPoint presentations (PPT) on female students of grade eight of basic Education in Sudan.
The experiment is done on the syllabus of “Science in Our Life”.
The study poses the major question of “What is the effect of using PPT in student's performance of the two units namely “water and Oil”.
The experimental approach has been adopted in this study.
Grade eight students at Khartoum State were the research population.
60 females' students compose the sample for this study.
The sample is divided into two groups; experimental and control one.
The students’ educational performance was examined before and after the experiment through pre-post test analysis.
Computers were used to present the PPT for the experimental group and traditional classroom techniques were implemented on the control one.
The results were analyzed and examined through T Test, Mean and Standard Deviation.
The results confirmed that there is a significant difference in favor of the experimental group, that is because the calculated T value is higher than critical T value, and the Mean of the experimental group is higher than that of the control one.
The researcher recommends that using new technologies in teaching.
