Abstract EN

The current study aimed to identify the reality of teaching behaviours related to the creative thinking of gifted female teachers in the grades of elementary schools in Saudi Arabia.

The descriptive method was used.

The study sample consisted of (43) female teachers.

An observation card of teaching behaviours related to creative thinking was administrated.

The results of the study revealed the weakness of teaching behaviours of the female teachers.

Moreover, the results indicated that there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the female teachers according to years of experience on the dimensions of (fluency, flexibility, originality, and sensitivity to problems) and the total score in favor of the most years of experience.

Also, there were statistically significant differences according to the educational qualification on the dimensions of originality and detail recognition, in favor of the female teachers who have high studies.

Furthermore, the female teachers who participated in the training programs even more excelled on the dimensions of (fluency, flexibility, originality, and sensitivity to the problems), and the total score.

Additionally, there were statistically significant differences according to the number of female students in the class on the dimensions of (fluency, flexibility, and sensitivity to the problems), and the total score in favor of teachers who taught in classes that have fewer pupils.

A set of recommendations in the light of the findings of the study results were provided.
