This paper investigates the nature of literary criticism,whether it is a sci- ence or an art.Thc researcher concluded that literary criticism is an art and a creative process, though it carries some scientific trait.

The most sign- ificant reason for regarding literary criticism as an art is its reliance on thecritic’s faculty that cannot learned or acquired.
