The rarity of the Precious Stones, the increasing demand for them, and the desire of the Assyrian Kings to have these stone motivated them to seek these priceless materials either by means of trade or by the military campaigns that the Assyrian launched against different nations, there by imposing tributes which some times included some kinds of precious stones .

There, the paper mentions the most important of the precious stone in the Assyrian period and the different fields in which these stones were used.

For instance, they were employed in decorating the regal badges like the crown ,the scepter and the clothes worn by Kings and gods.

They were also used in manufacturing some fatal and cylinder seals, inlaying the regal furniture which was made of wood, their use in inlaying the ivory pieces, not to men join their vital vole as invaluable jewels and embellishments.

In fact, the Assyrian Kings were credited with finding many jewels inlaid with precious stone, which took the shape of necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets.
