Because of water importance, the old urban centers especially Mesopotamia, give great attention to it, and sinhereb project is considered to be the outstanding one amongst such projects, which reflectes to us the engineering progress and high technology gained by Assyrian in this field.

There is no doubt that there were motivations behind establishing this project, and these motivations were: Providing water to metropolis Neniveh.
