A review of the current population situation in Palestine is presented.

Topics covered include: history of Jewish migration, trends in population size and growth, variation of birth rates amon the different religious and among ethnic groups, the reconstruction of the population situation, and (titure prospects.

This paper reveals that migration played a great role in the past in creating a Jewish majority.

However, the paper provides evidence that other demographic factors will reverse the situation.

High fertility rates among Arabs as compared to that among Jews will create an Arab majority in Palestine by the end of the first quarter of the next century.
