Abstract EN

Any study in any aspect of the life is to assert the interacted relation between man and his desires to discover unknown knowledge truth because of the fondness towards continuous investigation to realize what the earlier researchers began with in such Held of new facts or treating different aspects.

I have had the desire to study and research the subject of "Randa city in al-Andalus-civilized political study" because it received no attention from researchers and few references to it is found in elder studies about this city of its importance not only for Andalus history but also for Maghreb history in the middle century.

Its princes had decisive role in the events occurred due to the strategically well-fortified position in the protection action.

They had great chance to participate in the region's fate, not only in their al "jihad against Christian kingdoms in al-Andalus but also in the conflict concerning authority.Therefore 1 see that this city is worthy to attach attention for its Islamic long history by showing the archcological aspect and to bring out the scientists role lor their scientific contributions in Randa and the other cities.

I have tried to give the real dimensions of Randa in political via its foreign relation with the other Isamic forces in Maghreb and the struggle spirit which emanated to face Spanish kingdoms in al-Andalus.

The author confronts some problems pertaining to the lack of the studies to Randa in addition to the long period which is more than eight centuries dedicated for the study subject.

This study carried out theoretically analytically and descriptively by collecting scientific material.

Different references have been used in this study ; al-Andalus wa al-Maghreb./lbn-Uthari, al ibcr/ Ibn Khaldoon, Nafal-Taeeb/al-Muqri , al-Athar al- Andalusia al-Baqya and Tareekh Duwiat al-lslam/ Muhammad Abdullah Anan.

This study includes an introduction and one chapter falls into two sections.

The first section deals with the reviews Randa's geographical position, geographical environment, and its demography politically over these centuries.

The second one deals with most important landmarks and archcological placcs olKnada city, and the Randa scientists contribution in al- Andalus, Finally, I hope that I do in this research some of what I want to realize.
