Romantic poetry is one of the most prominent artistic trends in modern Arabic poetry and Yemeni poetry Which was based on the ruins of classical poetry, Hence, the poets and critics found themselves rebellious over the rule of classicism and the poetic tradition inherited from all the obstacles that impede the poet and his freedom.

The research deals with the study of the phenomenon of romanticism and its poetic characteristics of the modern Yemeni poet Ibrahim Abutaleb As one of the most poignant poetic voices in contemporary Yemeni literature Based on descriptive descriptive approach for being the most appropriate for the research to describe and devise to follow the path of romance and define its features to the modern poet.

Finally, the research concluded that the Yemeni poet adopted this poetic doctrine as an efficient and effective tool to embody the calamities and catastrophes suffered by the Yemeni society over the centuries and the deteriorating living reality Where these romantic monuments in his poetic achievement considered an objective equation for his general reality and his poetic state.

These romantic images are derived from his conscious awareness of the reality surrounding the Islamic community.

One of the most important manifestations of romanticism in his poetry: sadness and complaint, death, the tendency to nature, feeling alienation and loss, nostalgia and the past withlove and beauty.
