Abstract EN

This paper tackles heroism in the Arabic poetry of the Gusades .

These was have left their profound impact on the arab Moslim history and were, accordingly , a motivation which drove poets to write poems on them.

This poetry shows a period in witch people loved heroes and praised their achievements in holy was and defense of the Islam.

It describes the conquest of cities and destmction of fortification occupied by the cousadess, Among the attributes which were celebrated in this poetry are courage , stead- fastness , boavery , generosity, fairdaling , intelligent policy , forgiveness and prudence , besides thetorics piety, faithfulness , patience and aeneology, And this paper takles the technical aspects of the poetry then it digresses to the language besides the thythm .

The paper sheds light on the image in heroic poetry whichis embodied through ihgures of speech such as: simile , allegory and metonymy, then it provides adiscussion of thetotical devices.
