Abstract EN

We tackled, here in our study, a unique phenomenon in the old Arab poetry which is the philosophy of travelling in the poetry of Abi Tammam who used to describe, through his poetry, his vision which involved an idea.

This idea showed that travelling is not a mere phenomenon through which the poetry' describe in their poems and the writers in their writings.

However, it is a philosophy that opens for man vast horizons and his aspirations to new world.

We came to study this phenomenon in Abi Tammam poetry through two parts of study travel as a conscious and travel as an action.
