Abstract EN

The present study aims at investigating the role played by the educated men in Muslim society who emphasized and supported the social values.

The phenomenon of the variability of social writings that tried to present alternative means of advice other than those given by preachers or orators was investigated by this work.

The presentation of the Arab-Muslim civilization values by those educated men was highly intellectual and literary.

Among those values were the daily social ones which were considered the most important comer stone to maintain this civilization.

This presented another aspect of social thinking by pointing out and criticizing the bad behaviour.

Such happening reflected the social awareness and demonstrated the important role played by the educated men to reform their society.

This work was mainly based on Al-jahid book (Al-Bukhala) which presents a variety of social criticism related to such behaviour.
