The determination of the competitiveness of any sector, industry or organization is determined by analyzing its competitive performance, Therefore, this study focused on the analysis of the reality of the competitiveness of the manufacturing sector in Iraq, through the study of specific indicators to judge the level of performance in it.

It is the index of the contribution of the manufacturing sector to the structure of GDP, the value of production index of the manufacturing sector, the number of employees and the number of industrial establishments operating in the manufacturing sector, The determinants of the competitiveness of the manufacturing sector in Iraq were also analyzed according to the Porter model, and the extent of the mutual effects between all parts of the model in order to infer the magnitude of the impact of each factor individually, and how it contributes to raising the competitiveness of this vital sector.

The study concluded to present a set of measures that can be followed to support the competitiveness of the manufacturing sector in Iraq.
