Abstract EN

Protected agriculture means the production of crops in special facilities called greenhouse for the purpose of protecting them from inappropriate environmental conditions.

Thus, it can be produced in the off-season by providing the appropriate environment for the growth of plants through the control of environmental factors.

Protected agriculture also plays a major role in achieving sustainable agricultural development by preserving and conserving the natural resources of future generations by protecting soil from salinity, rationalizing water consumption through drib irrigation, and growing vegetable crops throughout the year.
