Abstract EN

The poet Nour Al - Din Al - Salmi considers one of the poets in the first era for the age of modernity in Oman.

He represented that era very well because of his varied culture that related to many sources.

He was a highly literary producer in period that was culturally tepidness not only in Oman but also in Arab homeland.

His varied culture led him towards his interesting in the religious heritage and then in the literary tradition in many of his poems where the given poems consider just a body without soul if those heritage was removed.

This put his poetry in case of continued intertextuality on a wide area of his poetry to extent that we can easily notice some verses of holy Quran and a lot of quotes that were taken from poetry of the ancient poets such as Antarah ibn Shaddad and Al-Mutanabbi who Al - Salmi attentioningly used them a lot times.

He also used some other poets such as Amr ibn Kulthum, Imran bin Hatan and Tarafa but in less.

His summons for that texts of those ancient poets was showing a logical consensus between his poetry and poetry of the ancient poets in the theme that motivated him to use their poetry.

He used some verses of holy Quran to support structure of his text.
