Abstract EN

In this study, it addressed the topic of procedural protection for witnesses in Sudanese legislation and international law, and the concept and scope of procedural protection for witnesses.

The research concluded that the Sudanese legislation did not concern itself with protecting witnesses except when they appeared before the court to testify, except that the Sudanese legislation did not provide for any kind of procedural protection.

Although international conventions have dealt extensively with the topic of protection.

Therefore, the Sudanese legislator must enact witness protection laws in order to ensure the effective performance of the testimony, effectively especially on big issues.
