Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the Nepotism as one of the forms of political and social corruption, which is experienced by many countries in the developing and developed world alike, whose financial effects are pervasive in a way that is easy to observe in the Arab countries, such as Iraq, and thus to identify the mechanism Which nepotism use to penetrates Political activity, highlighting its corrupt activities, and limiting the effectiveness of the political process and economic and social development.

The study reached several results, the most important of which are: - Nepotism as a political phenomenon with social roots, necessitates the means of combating it and minimizing its damage, overcoming its social sources, considering that the Nepotism is the secret part to a whole process of socialization that tries to give legal admissibility to it, and that requires giving priority to the civil and legal model of the state at the expense of Tribal and irrational patterns and the creation of a positive feeling in the individual towards the state that plays the decisive role in managing its affairs.

- Iraq has succeeded in curbing the widespread political fanaticism, granting legitimacy to the new political system by restoring power to the people, politicizing people's affairs and the state with a civic mentality that believes in the wisdom and awareness of these people.
