Abstract EN

Financial inclusion requires the ability of individuals and businesses to access and use financial services effectively at reasonable prices and in a responsible manner.

Private World Bank research has shown that about 38% of the world's adult population does not have access to formal financial services.

Despite the conviction of the countries concerned that the eradication of poverty and the support of low-income groups is the most important engine for the development of countries and societies, many studies indicate that this increase deprives the poor and low-income support of financial institutions, both governmental and quasi-governmental Or private for their projects because of their poor creditworthiness, and the guarantees provided on the required funding These problems have prompted the international community to organize the 2000 Millennium Summit at United Nations Headquarters in New York.

Among its Millennium Development Goals is to reduce the number of poor people.

To achieve these goals, many countries have developed public and private financing structures and mechanisms more suited to the needs of the most disadvantaged social groups on the one hand and the needs of small entrepreneurs on the other.

Traditional microfinance has emerged as an important tool to help a large number of the poor in society Their social and economic independence.

In spite of the efforts made, several CGAP reports (Andrapradesh 2010) have shown that traditional microfinance (unregulated by shari'a) has not achieved all the desired objectives and its social and economic consequences have been very limited due to religious considerations associated with the rejection by the majority of Islamic peoples of financial products that do not In our paper, we will attempt to demonstrate the role played by Islamic microfinance in improving financial coverage by reviewing the most important international experiences in this field.
