Our study aims to measure the effect of leveraging on the market value of stocks by finding the relationship between debt and market value of stocks, The study was completed on a sample of 31 companies listed in the CAC40 index for the period (2011-2014), We have relied on achieving our goal and finding a relationship on simple nonlinear regression models, time series stability testing and BDS testing to see how efficient the Paris market is at the weak level, Finally, we found an inverse relationship between leverage and the market value of listed companies in the CAC40 index and the inefficiency of the Paris market at the weak level.
