The present paper aims at presenting analytic study of the book the semiotics of literary text it is concerned with a semiotic study of Algerian modern poetry the semiotic approach is one of criticism approaches that modern critics adopted and applied on literary texts and poetry this approach generated an infinite number of meanings the semiotic reading of texts is a prerequisite to understand discourse not the surface features of the literary text appropriate interpretation lies in the exploration by of the general features underlying meanings expressed by those who generate this type of text these features characterize Algerian poetry which developed Consider erably due to younger generations compared with its state in 1970.
