Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the level of emotional representation towards the disabled at a sample of Special Education Department Graduates in the light of some variables including gender, educational level, and major.

The study included 352 students, who were chosen randomly; in order to achieve objectives of the study, a scale was designed by the researcher based on Davis's scale of emotional representation (Davis, 1980), composed of four scopes, imagination, emotional interest, considering other's point of view, and personal pain; following descriptive analytical methodology.

The results showed that level of emotional representation at study's sample was high at all four scopes; emotional interest came first followed by imagination, then considering other's point of view, while personal pain came last.

The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences attribute to gender, all scopes were in favor of females, with differences in the educational level in the favor of Bachelor students in (emotional interest), while (considering other's point of view and emotional interest were in favor of diploma students), there were difference attribute to the variable of study major in favor of learning difficulty and hearing disability major in the scope of (personal pain), the researcher recommended conducting more studies in order to deepen the concept of emotional representation..
