The researcher presents his research with an introduction in which the concept of child literature is defined in general, then child literature in North Africa and the countries that helped the emergence of child literature clearly and specific frameworks in any African continent, including Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania, and child literature in The Arab Maghreb in particular is represented in Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria, then the researcher reviews in the introduction the general and formal features of children's literature in Algeria as a model from the North African countries.

The research includes three chapters.

The first chapter revolves around the story and its components, its forms in Algeria and an analysis of some types of story in the literature of the Algerian child, including the animal story, social stories, science fiction stories, and folk stories Through this chapter, the researcher concludes distinctive features of Algerian children's stories and the extent to which they are added in the field of children's stories in North Africa, and what influences and influences have affected and affected them, and the additions that they added to the literature of the African child.
