Abstract EN

The aim of this paper is to identify the 7 dimensions of compatibility (personality compatibility; emotional compatibility; health compatibility; compatibility with Volleyball System; team-compatibility; family compatibility; Community Compatibility) and their relationship to level achievement for sitting volleyball players.

The sample consisted of (18) sports clubs from the participating clubs in combined championship, Premier Division and Promotion league for men's sitting volleyball.

It was selected deliberately and was split into two groups: A basic research sample and an exploratory sample.

The research community consisted of 84 elite players enrolled in 2017-2018 Paralympic Committee from 10 sports clubs as well as 30 players in the exploratory sample.

The results from this study showed that:  There is a significant positive correlation between five dimensions of compatibility (personality compatibility; health compatibility; compatibility with Volleyball System; team-compatibility; family compatibility) and level achievement for Sitting Volleyball Players  There is no significant correlation between 2 dimensions of compatibility (emotional compatibility; community compatibility) and level achievement for Sitting Volleyball Players.

In light of the results, the researcher recommends using compatibility measurement for Sitting Volleyball Players, holding of psychiatric rehabilitation courses for Sitting Volleyball Players and training them not to let their disabilities stop them.

It is also important to make it easy for the media to cover disabled sporting events.

This may increase their self-confidence and their ability to reach the best athletic achievement.

Carry out more research on Sport and Disabled Individuals in general and Paralympic sport in particular.
