Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify ways to activate knowledge management and improve the quality of institutional performance in universities.

Therefore, the study sought to diagnose the reality of knowledge management in universities, and acknowledge the challenges facing its applications.

The descriptive approach was followed and a questionnaire was applied to a random sample of faculty members in some colleges at the university.

A number of results were reached, which included the following: The study sample agreed (92%) to build community relations electronically to serve the community with academic programs appropriate to their desires.

They also agreed on the electronic response to the feedback on the performance of each individual at a rate of (88%), and agreed at a rate of (84%) on each of the following: • Restructuring electronic procedures in light of governance.

• Building community relations electronically to serve the community.

• Providing a functional climate that helps in cycling knowledge electronically.

• Empowerment of employees through electronic participation processes at various organizational levels to achieve a digital administrative environment.

• The application of knowledge management to reduce manual tasks.

• Furthermore, the study members agreed on the following: • The role of the organizational climate that dominates joint responsibility to achieve the goals of the university by (80%).

• The abolition of procedures that represent waste for effort.

• Upgrading the technical structure in the field of knowledge sharing.

• Activating technical administrative performance in collecting knowledge and classifying it electronically.

The majority of the study sample also agreed to design an electronic knowledge base that enables the dissemination of knowledge in the university system, allowing a flexible flow of knowledge between the organizational units.

The study recommended several things, including: designing organizational procedures in the light of knowledge management processes using appropriate electronic templates within clear frameworks of governance to improve the quality of job performance.

Upgrading the technical structure in the field of knowledge sharing between the various organizational units, activating technical administrative performance in collecting and classifying knowledge electronically to improve the quality of job performance, and providing democratic leadership that participates in making decisions in the light of knowledge management processes using appropriate technical templates.

As well as, the restructuring of electronic procedures in light of governance.
