In the ancient, the grammarians looked at grammar as a look of pride and honor - except for some accounts of the Arabs that highlight the conflict between them and grammarians as well as Al-Jahidh and his sarcastic attitudes towards grammarians But the dispute reached its climax with the modernists, who dared to the point of calling for fighting it and seeking to replace dialects as an alternative to it, claiming that it was difficult and stagnant, carrying the banner of facilitate grammar at times, and renewing at other times, such as: Taha Hussein, Shawki Dhaif, and the efforts of linguistic councils .
