Abstract EN

This study aims at analyzing the phenomenon of budget deficit and determining its causes in Algeria during the period 2000-2019.

The study tries to set the different tools that have been used by financial authorities in Algeria to cope with budget deficit through clarifying the role of revenue regulation fund in the process of funding and covering deficit.

The study concludes that budget deficit in Algeria is considered as structural imbalance in the public expenditure increase that has relationship with sustainable plans and the public revenues decrease in the light of lower oil prices and the necessity to find different alternatives to solve budget deficit sustainability.
