By interpreting economic legislation, the legislator’s policy towards protecting public money from tampering emerges as a major concern.

Serious penalties were inflicted to prevent tampering with money.

Economic crimes are among the most important corruption crimes.

Political systems differed significantly regarding the accountability of political officials in the event of using the position entrusted on them to secure private advantages.

Some systems only dismiss officials or take average administrative measures in the case of corruption accusations while other systems combine criminal punishments with administrative ones, regardless of the position of the perpetrator, thus ensuring the enforcement of the "rule of law", which is foundational for every democracy.
