The security repercussions of the Arab revolutions were an opportunity for the terrorist groups to declare their support for the Da'ash organization.

The phenomenon of foreign fighter/FTFs has become a new face of international terrorism.

In order to cope with the growing role of these threats, Algeria has adopted a holistic approach to security in the light of its past experience.

At the external sphere, Algeria was out of the sight, because of the small number of FTFs.

Given violent extremism as a dynamic path interspersed with psychological, social, ideological and rhetorical factors that prepare the individual to support terrorism, Algeria's experience can be seen as a model for being based on the triad of dialogue, security and development, and an integrated strategy.
