Abstract EN

This article approaches the question of the functional integration between the rituals and the oral folk arts.

For the Rituals of different kinds seem to be of two respects : a Practical Aspect through a series of actions, gestures, and signals inherited from generations; and an Oral Aspect usually from songs, popular riddles, religious or magical spells.

The functional complementarity between the two aspects is that the saying may explain some of the connotations and functions associated with the ritual practice, and what it represents subconsciously in the religious, mythical or magical beliefs.

on the other hand, researchers may find in the ritual practice an explanation to some symbols, and the signs contained in the accompanying statement.
