The theater is rich in various linguistic and non-linguistic signs.

The signifier is varied, so it has to be seen as a sign in itself rather than a literary genre, and its study and analysis, through the use of an analytical approach that delves into the depths of theatrical connotations, which exceeds the literary criticism.

the aim of this research is to highlight the role of semiotic theater, which is a branch of general semiotic, that deals with the study of theatrical text, the presentation and the beginning of its applications to theatrical phenomenon, giving each sign, whether audio or visual, its semantic dimension and its role in constructing theatrical discourse through the contributions of many researchers.
