Abstract EN

This study aims to show how much the board of directors of government in Algerian banks has strengthened, and the study has based on a sample of Algerian banks, where statistical methods have been used to processing and analyzing data that collected by questionnaire.

The study found that the Board of Directors of banks contributes to the implementation of governance principles in Algerian banks by exercising the oversight role of the various members of the board of directors' committees, as well as by making disclosure and transparency to ensure the trust of stakeholders.

Board committees also operationalize the principle of board responsibilities in order to ensure continuity in the application of bank governance.
