Autism is an early onset disorder that affects the development of the child.
The issue of identification and early diagnosis is paramount in the implementation of support projects and appropriate interventions.
Our research aims at studying the variations of the age of detection of the first signs in the children by the parents, but also the nature of these signs.
It also aims to verify whether the age of detection of signs depends on certain characteristics such as the socio-economic level of parents.
An analysis of data collected as part of a prospective study of a population of 120 children.
The results obtained indicate that the average age of identification of the first signs is around 19 months; and that the most reported signs relate to the field of verbal communication.
However, no significant relationship was found between the age of detection of the first sign and the socio-economic level of the parents.

L'autisme est un trouble d'apparition précoce qui affecte le développement de l'enfant.
La question de l'identification et du diagnostic précoce est primordiale dans la mise en œuvre des projets d'appui et des interventions appropriées.
Notre recherche vise à étudier les variations de l'âge de détection des premiers signes chez les enfants par les parents, mais aussi la nature de ces signes.
Elle vise également à vérifier si l'âge de détection des signes dépend de certaines caractéristiques telles que le niveau socio-économique des parents.
Une analyse des données recueillies dans le cadre d'une étude prospective d'une population de 120 enfants.
Les résultats obtenus indiquent que l'âge moyen d'identification des premiers signes tourne autour de 19 mois; et que les signes les plus rapportés concernent le domaine de la communication verbale.
Cependant, aucune relation significative n'a été trouvée entre l'âge de la détection du premier signe et le niveau socio-économique des parents.
