The concept of Citizenship is one of the concepts that embodies many issues such as human rights , public freedoms , democracy , identity and belonging, national unity and others.

School education especially in the primary stage plays an important role in the education of our young children.

The study aims to introduce citizenship education in the primary, and to know the values and concepts associated with and aims to clarify the role of the textbook related to the subject of civil education .

For this we have made a a qualitative reading to these books as representing the research sample, making a comparison between two books that represent the research sample, the first of the old generation and the second of the new generation; similarities and differences between them, were considered.
