Algeria, like many countries, has, in light of the political reforms that it pursued, promoted the political rights of women, through a set of laws that have all worked in this direction, the most important of which is Organic Law 12-03 of January 12, 2012 setting out how to expand women's fortunes in councils Elected, and therefore we try through this study to clarify the extent of the law's contribution to promoting the representation of women in the elected councils, and the obstacles that prevent this, to conclude that there are a number of challenges for rural women to achieve in order to reach an effective and meaningful representation that is in the field of achieving their rights.
