إن التنمية السياحية المستدامة هي ذلك النشاط الذي يحافظ على البيئة و يحقق التكامل الاقتصادي و الاجتماعي فيقوم على مبدأ الحماية و زيادة التقدير و الاهتمام بالموارد الطبيعية والموروثات الثقافية للمجتمعات بتبني سلوكيات و نمط تسيير ايكولوجي و استخدام تكنولوجيات مبتكرة لتخفيف الآثار السلبية للنشاط السياحي و تحقيق مفهوم السياحة المستدامة بالاعتماد على معايير صديقة للبيئة.
و تعد المؤسسات الناشطة في قطاع السياحة و من أهمها قطاع الفنادق هي المسؤول الأول عن حماية المناطق السياحية جراء الأخطار التي تهدد البيئة نظرا لممارسة النشاط السياحي غير المخطط وغير المناسب مع البيئة.
و لأجل ذلك جاء مشروع التسيير البيئي للفنادق وفق ما يسمى الفندق الأخضر كاستراتيجية حديثة ليحقق مجموعة الأهداف التي تسعى إليها السياحة البيئية.
هو نوع من المنشآت السياحية المعتمدة على عنصر الطبيعة يهدف للتقليل من أضرار الأنشطة السياحية على البيئة قصد تحقيق تنمية سياحية مستدامة.
Abstract EN
The sustainable touristic development is an activity that preserves environment and realizes both economic and social complementarity.
It is, indeed, based on the principle of preservation, raising appreciation, giving prominence to the natural resources and cultural heritage of nations, through embracing ecological behaviors and management style, using innovated technologies to reduce the negative impact of touristic activity, materializing the notion of sustainable tourism through leaning on environment-friendly standards.
Tourism institutions, mainly those working in the Hotel sector, are first responsible for protecting tourist areas from the dangers threatening the environment, with regard to the practice of unorganized tourist activities inappropriate to the environment.
It is for this reason that comes the project of the environmental management of hotels according to the designation “green hotel”, considered as a modern strategy to fulfill the goals endeavored by the environmental tourism.
It is a kind of touristic works relying on nature, and which aims at reducing the damages of touristic activities on environment in order to achieve a sustainable touristic development.

Le développement durable du tourisme est une activité qui a pour vocation la protection de l'environnement et la réalisation de la complémentarité économique et sociale.
Elle se base sur le principe de la protection ainsi que l'appréciation et l'intérêt qui ne cessent d'augmenter pour les ressources naturelles et les patrimoines culturels et sociaux, en adoptant certains comportements et un mode de gestion écologique, l'utilisation de technologies innovatrices dans le souci d'absorber les effets négatifs de l'activité touristique et matérialiser le concept du tourisme durable en favorisant des normes qui sont au service de l'environnement.
Les établissements activant dans le secteur du tourisme, dont le plus important est celui de l'hôtellerie, sont considérés comme le premier responsable de la protection des zones touristiques eu égard aux risques qui menacent l'environnement à cause de l'exercice non-planifié de l'activité touristique et qui est incompatible avec l'environnement.
D'où surgit le projet de l'hôtel vert en tant qu'une nouvelle stratégie qui tend à réaliser l'ensemble des objectifs escomptés par le tourisme environnemental.
Il s'agit d'un genre d'ouvrages touristiques qui se base sur le concept de la nature, œuvrant à atténuer les préjudices causés par les activités touristiques sur l'environnement afin de réaliser un développement touristique durable.
