عرفت الرقمنة توسعا كبيرا خلال العقدين الأخرين، حيث أصبحت العديد من المكتبات ذات الطابع التراثي تتبنى مشاريع الرقمنة.
هذه الالتزامات تستجيب دون شك لضرورة حفظ المخطوطات من ناحية، و تلبية احتياجات التبليغ و الولوج الى المعلومات وفقا لمتطلبات الباحثين من ناحية أخرى.
بالإضافة إلى ذلك ، فإن الاهتمام الذي أثارته هذه المخطوطات على الصعيدين الوطني و الدولي، دفع بالمكتبة الوطنية الجزائرية إلى مراجعة سياسة حفظ مجموعاتها من المخطوطات.
سيتطرق هذا العمل بشكل أساسي إلى ثالث قضايا أساسية، هي حفظ المخطوطات و إتاحتها للجمهور، و أخيرا الرقمنة كوسيلة تكنولوجية تسمح بإنتاج نسخ رقمية بديلة للوثائق الأصلية و أكثر قابلية للاستعمال، مع ضمان حفظ المخطوطات الأصلية.
Abstract EN
Library manuscripts: between the necessity of conservation and the need for communication Digitization has considerably grown in the last two decades, with many libraries holding heritage funds, becoming more involved in digitization projects.
These commitments undoubtedly meet the imperatives of conservation of collections on the one hand, and communication needs expressed by researchers on the other.
In addition, the interest raised by these manuscripts on the national and international level, led the Algerian National Library to review its policy of conservation and preservation of its manuscripts.
This work will essentially touch on three fundamental issues, namely the conservation of manuscripts, their communication and finally, digitization as a technological alternative that allows the production of digital copies of substitution more communicable, while ensuring the preservation of original copies

La numérisation a connu un essor considérable ces deux dernières décennies, beaucoup de bibliothèques détenant des fonds patrimoniaux s'engagent de plus en plus dans des projets de numérisation.
Ces engagements répondent sans doute à des impératifs de conservation des collections d'une part, et à des besoins de communication exprimés par les chercheurs de l'autre.
En outre, l'intérêt soulevé par ces manuscrits sur le plan national et international, ont conduit la bibliothèque nationale d'Algérie à revoir sa politique de conservation et de préservation de ses manuscrits.
Ce travail touchera essentiellement à trois enjeux fondamentaux, à savoir la conservation des manuscrits, leur communication et enfin, la numérisation comme alternative technologique qui permet de produire des copies numériques de substitution plus communicables, tout en assurant la préservation des copies originales.
