Abstract EN

The Holy Qur’an addressed many references about harnessing money for corruption, as well as corruption in its acquisition and spending similar to its speech about Qarun, Haman and Walid ibn al-Mughirah.

It also addressed the prohibition of extravagance, usury and other topics.

The honorable Sunnah, with its three types, verbal, actual, and declarative, also dealt with the topics of money in many texts, from which we can extract many things, including: -1 The value of money in Islam.

-2 The vision of the prophet- peace be upon him- as a person towards money and distinguish it from that of Sunnah, because he-peace be upon him- does things as a person which are not considered as Sunnah even if they are virtues, whereas he-peace be upon him- does things as a prophet, those are considered as Sunnah.

-3 The regulations of earning money and spending it.

4 - Finally, clarifying the role of the Sunnah in breaking up wealth and distributing money.

From all these elements one can obtain a clear concept of financial corruption and the role of the Sunnah in fighting it in the past, and how it can play the same role recently.

Thus, our treatment of this issue will be based on three basic elements: 1-The concept of financial corruption through Sunni texts.

2 - How did the Sunni caliphs benefit from the Sunnah in fighting financial corruption? 3 - How can the texts of the Sunnah and the companions' applications for them be used to combat financial corruption recently? In dealing with the issue, we rely on a comprehensive survey of the texts of the Sunnah and the actions of the rightly guided caliphs, in particular, with the conclusion of rules to distinguish financial corruption, ways of fighting it, and the impact of this on the economy.
