Abstract EN

The informal economy is considered an important issue due to its negative economic and social effects.

In fact, this phenomenon is actually the subject of many researches and discussions that attempt to identify and explain the factors involved in the emergence and development of the informal economy, and propose initiatives to reduce the informal sector.

The aim of this study is to highlight the reasons for the formation and growth of the informal economy, as well as its impact on the Algerian economy.
