We devote this article to the search for the symbolism of color in the novel "Ontha Al Sarab" by Waciny Laredj.

We have seen that the definition of color must first be presented as a preamble to this objective.

We then move on to the practical section where we will explore the symbolism of the colors present on the exterior cover of this work.

We will examine in more detail the colors used in the novelist text by attempting to extrapolate the most eminent meanings by ensuring that color in literature often overflows from its sensory meaning to a symbol rich in connotations.
