We can see that at this time at the beginning of the twentieth century the Algerian press sector is very dynamic.

Political positioning is mostly moderate or assimilationist.

Between 1914 and 1920, mostly because of the First World War, the majority of newspapers disappeared, but at the same time the national consciousness is born among the Algerian intellectual elite which has the consequence of radicalizing its political positioning.It is one of the most famous and perhaps the most brilliant of the ibadite oulémas of the early twentieth century its chikh ibrahim Etfiech who fought against them defeated crime of the French administration, and among these is the compulsory military recruitment of young Algerian women at the world’s first 1914 _ 1918, when al Chike founded his newspaper «al-minhaj as a means to fight against the projects of the French administration.
