Abstract EN

« the Algerian Police during the Liberation Revolution »(1954-1962)This essay deals with the study of one of the aspects of the History of the Algerian Revolution, represented by the History of « the Algerian Police during the Liberation Revolution » (1954-1962), and confirms that the outbreak of that Revolution paid a great importance to the security aspect, because of its sensibility and contribution in its success.

They proceeded to the establishment of many security services from the beginning and then over the years, which set up the security corps during the revolution, which played a revolutionary and operational roles and missions, which were at the heart of the policing mission.

Many documents, statements, military orders, written testimonies and individual documents from the revolution which were used in the preparation of this essay indicates and shows it clearly, in addition to other individual and collective photos of the revolutionary police elements kept in the archives of the Algerian Central Police Museum.

This essay aims to shed light on the security aspect during the liberation war, and following the steps of the establishment of its services and structures, including its role during the liberation Revolution.

I emphasized on the utilization of the available documents, testimonies, essays and books to write this essay, hoping to enrich the subject and deepen further, in order to unveil its different aspects and highlight the efforts of the liberation Revolution in this regard.
