Taher wattar's name is related to the founding moment of the Algerian novel written in Arabic in the early 1970s, through his adoption of a new vision to approach the social reality and keep pace with its various transformations.

Starting with “Al-laz”, “The Earthquake, “A Mule's Wedding”, “The Fishman and the Palace”, up to “The Candle and Vestibules”, and “Saint Tahar raises his hands in prayer”.

These titles have become an important part of our literary memory, indicating Taher wattar as he became their sign, cannot be mentioned separated due to the semantic potentials he loaded in them.

Nothing can indicate that better than the powerful suggestive titles he creates, which motivated us to question these titles to know what are the generators of the semantic power and their manifestations.
