Abstract EN

: In this research paper, we will try to approach the most important representations of the postcolonial tendency in the writings of two thinkers who have a great part in the laying of the first building blocks of this new area of knowledge: Malek Bennabi and Frantz Fanon, who both belong to the French colonial era and lived and studied in France.

This means that they know the two ends of the colonial condition (the colonized and the colonizer) with absolute precision.

This knowledge appears especially in their books: The Tortured of the Earth (Fanon), and the Intellectual Conflict in the Colonial Countries (Bennabi).

It appears to us through their writings that they are two important aspects of postcolonial theory; and they were the persons who paved the way for these studies that defined the emergence of Edward Saïd's book of Orientalism in 1979, who is the theorist of this area of knowledge known by this name; in addition to the efforts of Homi Bhabha and Gayatri Spivak.

These three are the ones who developed this field and called for a re-reading of the colonial heritage from the colonial point of view, but this does not cancel the efforts of Malek Bennabi and Frantz Fanon which are rightly regarded as the first prelude to the field of postcolonial, and anti-colonial, old and new studies and such writings are a very important and major starting point for future readings and serious studies in this direction
