Abstract EN

The 1990s witnessed a political transformation in Algeria, which resulted in bloody violence.

It imposed the birth of narrative texts that worked hard to answer some questions related to violence.

Among these texts we mention the novel "Memory of the Water" by "Wasiny alaaredj.

"He made "Wasiny" a critic of the murderous identities and the statement of the motives for the killing has one of the desired goals of his narrative speech.

Those motives - for the most part - do not go beyond three things - in his view: First, the extremist's attempt to make up for the resulting inability to lack the mechanisms that enable him to prove himself in actual reality, and to resort to arms as an alternative means that allows him to achieve his goal.

The second is the spread of a culture of intolerance and the rejection of the opposite person in thought or belief.

The third of them - the most dangerous motive in the eyes of the writer - is the adoption of killing in order to silence the educator forever.
