Abstract EN

This study deals with the attraction of feminine identity between center and margin in the novels “The T in Shyness” and “Discovering Libido” by the Algerian novelist Fadila El Farouk.

Novelistic texts being a cultural sign before being an aesthetic value, this research paper strives to set new mechanisms of cultural analysis and attempts to unveil implicit models in contemporary Algerian novels.

Moreover, it tries to outline the cultural contribution of the novel as a product of society that is willing to position itself in the world, as well as the contribution by these cultural studies to literature and to the novel as a critical exercise.

In fact, awareness of the cultural text is primordial to discovering implicit models within the novelistic discourse, without neglecting its specificity as an esthetical, linguistic discourse.

This research is divided, after a theoretical prelude, into two axes that are both relative to the critical analysis of discourse: the relationship of the female to cultural components and the incarnations of violence.
