Poetry receives a lot of attention from critics, scholars and recipients since it was known before Islam one hundred and fifty years ago, and since that time poetry has become a mystery, because the word poetry is light, deep in meaning, far from wide-ranging goals and difficult to reach at the same time, if we ask any student or researcher and say What is poetry for him, he gave us an understanding of poetry.

If all of us can give poetry a definition, but none of us can say that its definition is the right one.

So in the midst of this we try to address the concept of poetry and try to mix what we know about this phrase, with what critics, writers and poets themselves have said, and they seek through this to define its multiple functions, while dealing with some examples of poetry and those close to them for comparison on the one hand and analysis from Second hand and comment from a third party, as well as criticism from a fourth side if we can.
