Abstract EN

This study discussed the influence of the Greek community on Cairo Architecture during the 19^th century and the first half of the twentieth century through the collection from Churches, Schools, Hospitals, and Greek buildings which characterized by various Architectural Arts and styles.

Foreign communities have played a big role in the process of modernization and development that Egypt has witnessed since the beginning of the period of Mohammed Ali in 1805, the Greek community had a distinguished position and an influential role in this side, where participated effectively in the development of Egyptian society in all fields, unlike other foreign communities, the Greeks were more integrated within Egyptian society, where they belong to different social and economic classes, from workers, small traders, and employees, to economists, the wealthy, and the intellectuals.

The Greeks contributed in large numbers that in early 1940's, nearly 250, 000 people in all fields ( economically, politically, educationally, culturally, and religiously), especially in the city of Alexandria and Cairo; and the last city is the subject of this study, which highlights the architecture of the Greek community from the beginning of the era of Mohammed Ali 1805 until 1952.
